JOB DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this position is to establish and maintain systems that are effective and efficient to operate the home in a financially sound manner and safely meet residents needs in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. Major functions include, but are not limited to: ? Ensure that the Home meets all licensing and certification standards through planning, training, policies and procedures. ? Establish priorities and implement strategies to maintain high quality of care to Veteran residents while closely monitoring all revenue and costs. ? Coordinate the development of the Home annual budget. ? Represent the Home within the community and participate in extensive networking with local private and public organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must be an effective communicator and team builder. Success in meeting goals and objectives including successful management of multiple deadlines is a must. Problem solving and leadership skills are also required. Candidates must also be able to prioritize tasks effectively. The ideal candidate will possess independent thinking, experience in facilitating and leading teams, strong organizational, and project management experience. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to interpret regulatory, compliance, accreditation and certification guidelines and standards. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is necessary.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must have Tennessee nursing home administrator license (LNHA) or ability to acquire one via reciprocity. Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field with three (3) years experience in health care administration, or a combination of experience, education and training which would provide knowledge required by this position.Please send resume and a separate "Statement of Qualifications" specifying how the candidate's background and experience relates to the applicant's ability to perform in the specified position.
