JOB DESCRIPTION

Does treatments as prescribed by physicians. Uses good aseptic technique in performing any and all treatments. Notifies physicians of improvement or regression of skin problems. Documents the treatments and results on appropriate records. Does wound cultures as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a genuine interest in wound care. Able to work independently. Must be able to establish and maintain effective communication with staff, residents and families.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Graduation from accredited school of nursing. May be RN or LPN. Experience in computerized patient record keeping a plus.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

Current licensure with the State of Tennessee.
