DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include communicating and working cooperatively with fiscal intermediaries, private insurance companies, auditors and other facility and Home Office staff. Coordinates the Medicare/Medicaid process for residents. Verifies Medicare days available with the intermediary. Works with Admissions/SS/Nursing to complete information needed by DHS for residents with Medicaid pending status and oversees the PAE process. Also maintains accurate census records to include changes in payer sources, room changes, bed changes, discharges and transfers, leave of absence and hospital bed hold agreements. Tracks number of Medicare days on admission. Oversees and maintains the cash receipt log of daily deposits. Prepares financial and operational reports. Verifies ancillary invoices for respiratory therapy, DME, and pharmacy.
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates should possess five or more years experience as a Patient Account Rep or Business Office Manager in LTC. Must also be proficient on the computer.
EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS
Must have a HS diploma with some business related college preferred.
