JOB DESCRIPTION

Makes daily rounds to observe and evaluate the physical and emotional status of all residents and take necessary action. Prepares and administers medications and treatments, consults with physicians, receives and records orders. Keeps the Supervisor or Director of Nursing informed of the status of residents and other related matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

Caring individual, able to work as part of a team to meet the needs of our residents. Must be able to establish and maintain effective communication and interaction skill with staff, residents and families. Must be able to read and understand standard English and be willing to work as part of a caring team to provide the best possible care for our residents. Experience in computerized resident record keeping a plus.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Graduation from accredited school of nursing. May be RN or LPN

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

Current licensure with the State of Tennessee.
